Fundamentals of ISO 9001:2015

Course Description:

The requirements for ISO 9001:2015 certification can be confusing and are often misunderstood. The purpose of this course is to introduce quality management system (QMS) concepts to business owners and/or those responsible for implementing and/or maintaining a QMS at their organizations. If implemented correctly, a QMS is a powerful business tool that helps drive improvement and increase customer satisfaction. If not implemented thoughtfully, a quality management system can become burdensome and costly to maintain.

Learning Objectives:

In this one-day course, attendees will learn:

  • Each requirement documented in the ISO 9001:2015 Standard.
  • Implementation strategies for compliance.
  • The meaning of the process approach and Plan-Do-Check-Act methodology.
  • The certification process including the selection of a certifying body (registrar), and what
to expect during the certification audit.

Who Should Attend:

This course is intended for organizations pursuing ISO 9001:2015 certification and/or individuals with little to no previous ISO 9001:2015 experience. Business owners, quality managers, project managers, and all others involved with QMS activities are welcome.
